I have experience working in various settings including outpatient clinics, schools, community mental health and private practice. My areas of clinical focus are depression, anxiety, trauma and abuse, grief and loss, life transitions, cross-cultural, relationship and LGBTQ issues.
I facilitate client’s healing and growth by creating a real partnership and a safe environment as well as by being authentic, supportive, compassionate and empathic within a nonjudgmental atmosphere. Though challenging, the process of therapy can be engaging and transformative. I approach my work and my clients with respect and care and gear my techniques and style to suit their needs. I use a variety of therapeutic orientations and techniques including Psychodynamic, Cognitive-Behavioral, Mindfulness, Family Systems, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Brief Therapy.
